About Project

Hi all! Let me present Movia Stream, a feature designed to enhance the user experience of streaming platforms by integrating short video highlights. This case study focuses on creating a seamless, engaging, and efficient way for users to discover and relive memorable moments from movies and series.

The concept revolves around a Short Video Section that curates iconic scenes, memorable moments, or trailers from movies and series directly within the streaming app. This feature bridges the gap between short video platforms like TikTok and traditional streaming services, offering a cohesive and user-friendly solution.

Problem Statement

Users often encounter intriguing scenes or highlights from movies and series on short video platforms like TikTok or YouTube Shorts. If they want to revisit these clips or watch the full content, they have to manually search for them on streaming services like Netflix. This fragmented process is cumbersome and detracts from the seamless discovery experience that modern users expect.

Additionally, existing streaming apps lack a dedicated space for short-form content to re-engage users. This limits their ability to foster continuous interaction and enhance user retention.

Project Goals

The goal of Movia Stream is to introduce a Short Video Section that:

  • Provides curated short clips (1–10 minutes) and movie trailers to encourage users to rediscover or explore new content.

• Allows users to interact through reactions (e.g., likes, emojis), comments, and sharing options.

  • Enables downloading clips for offline access and creating playlists of favorite short videos.

  • Encourages account creation or login for free access, promoting user engagement and retention.

By seamlessly integrating this feature, users will feel inspired to re-watch or discover full-length movies and series, increasing platform usage and overall satisfaction.

Key Features

  • Short Video Section: A visually engaging area showcasing curated clips, trailers, and iconic moments.

  • Interaction Tools: React, comment, share, and download options to enhance social engagement.

  • Playlist Creation: Save and organize favorite short clips for easy rewatching.

  • Personalized Recommendations: Suggestions based on user behavior and preferences.

Design Approach

To create an inviting and intuitive experience, we focused on a light theme with vibrant accent colors, conveying excitement and discovery. Friendly illustrations and smooth transitions were used to maintain user engagement and make navigation effortless.
